DMCA & Copyright Policy

Last updated:

JoinActiveGroup respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This page explains how copyright owners can ask us to remove content they believe infringes their rights, and how we handle those requests, in line with the principles of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws in other countries.

1. Our commitment

  • We do not knowingly publish content that infringes copyright.
  • We do not list groups or channels that share pirated movies, books, courses, software or other copyrighted material without permission, as explained in our Group Guidelines.
  • Our articles are written by our editorial team. When we quote or refer to other works, we keep quotations short and credit the source.
  • Featured images on our articles are created for JoinActiveGroup.

2. What content can be reported

You can send us a copyright notice about content hosted on JoinActiveGroup itself, for example:

  • text, images or other material in our articles or pages;
  • a group or channel listing whose name, picture or description uses your copyrighted material;
  • a user comment that copies your work.

Please note that JoinActiveGroup does not host the content of WhatsApp groups or channels. Messages and files shared inside a WhatsApp group are stored on WhatsApp, not on our website. If a group shares your copyrighted material, we can remove its listing from JoinActiveGroup, and you can also report the group or channel directly to WhatsApp.

3. How to submit a copyright notice

Send your notice by email to abstudio678@gmail.com with the subject line "Copyright notice", or use our contact form and choose "Copyright (DMCA) request". Your notice must include:

  1. Your full name, and the name of the copyright owner if you are acting on their behalf.
  2. Your contact details: postal address, email address and phone number.
  3. A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
  4. The exact URL(s) of the page(s) on JoinActiveGroup where the allegedly infringing material appears.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
  7. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is acceptable as an electronic signature).

Incomplete notices may delay our response, so please include all of the above.

4. What happens next

  • We review every complete notice, usually within a few working days.
  • If the notice is valid, we remove or disable access to the material and, where possible, inform the person who submitted it.
  • We keep a record of notices and may share a copy of the notice with the person whose content was removed.
  • Users or group listings that repeatedly infringe copyright are permanently removed from JoinActiveGroup.

5. Counter-notice

If you believe content you submitted was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to abstudio678@gmail.com that includes:

  1. Your full name, address, email address and phone number.
  2. The URL of the content that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts and will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
  5. Your physical or electronic signature.

After receiving a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content unless the original complainant informs us that they have started legal action.

6. False claims

Please make sure that the content you report actually infringes your rights before sending a notice. Under the DMCA and similar laws, knowingly making false or misleading claims may make you liable for damages. If you are not sure whether something infringes your copyright, you may wish to seek legal advice first.

7. Other requests

For requests that are not about copyright, such as privacy concerns, harmful groups or comment removal, please use our Contact Us page or the Report link button on the relevant group page.
