Group Guidelines

Last updated:

JoinActiveGroup lists WhatsApp groups and channels that are useful, respectful and safe for a general audience. These Group Guidelines explain what we accept, what we never accept and how our review works. Every submission is screened against these rules by an automatic filter, doubtful submissions are held for manual review, and our team reviews listed groups and removes any that break the rules.

1. Topics we welcome

  • Education, study groups and exam preparation;
  • jobs, careers, internships and professional networking (with genuine, verifiable opportunities);
  • technology, coding, design, digital skills and AI learning;
  • business, freelancing and entrepreneurship (without get-rich-quick claims);
  • news, current affairs and general knowledge;
  • books, literature and poetry;
  • health, fitness, yoga and healthy cooking (without medical claims or product selling);
  • food, travel, outdoors, gardening, pets, cars and bikes, photography, crafts and other hobbies;
  • religious reminders that are respectful and non-sectarian;
  • local, regional and international community groups for friendly conversation and cultural exchange.

2. Content we never accept

Groups and channels in the following areas are rejected, and listed groups that move into these areas are removed:

  • Adult and sexual content: pornography, nudity, sexually suggestive names or pictures, escort or "friendship" services, and dating or hook-up groups;
  • Gambling and betting: betting tips, casino, satta, lottery schemes and similar activities;
  • Hacking and cracking: hacking accounts, phones or Wi-Fi, selling accounts, cracked apps, modded APKs, carding or malware;
  • Piracy: sharing copyrighted movies, series, books, paid courses, software or leaked exam papers without permission;
  • Scams and risky money schemes: task or "like and earn" schemes, registration-fee jobs, money-doubling, pyramid or MLM recruitment, guaranteed-profit trading, crypto or forex "signals" and loan offers;
  • Hate and violence: content attacking people based on religion, sect, ethnicity, nationality, gender, disability or other characteristics, and any promotion of violence or extremism;
  • Harassment and privacy abuse: sharing others' photos, numbers or personal details, or groups targeting individuals;
  • Dangerous products and services: drugs, weapons, fake documents, unapproved medicines and miracle cures;
  • Shocking content: graphic violence, gore or disturbing material;
  • Misleading content: fake news groups, impersonation of brands, celebrities, government departments or other organisations;
  • Anything illegal in the country of the group's members or where JoinActiveGroup operates.

3. Name, picture and description rules

  • The group name must describe the group honestly. Clickbait names, excessive emojis, ALL CAPS and misleading claims are not accepted.
  • The group picture must be appropriate for all ages and must not contain suggestive images, other brands' logos without permission or shocking content.
  • The description should explain the purpose, language and main rules of the group.
  • Choose the category that best fits the group. We may move a group to a more accurate category.

4. Requirements for admins

  • You must own or manage the group, or be clearly allowed to share its invite link.
  • The group should have active admins who remove spam and enforce rules.
  • The group must not charge members to join or ask them for payments, codes or personal documents.
  • The invite link must work at the time of review.

5. How the review works

  1. You submit your group or channel through the Add Group page.
  2. Our automatic filter checks the name, description and tags for words linked to banned topics. Clean submissions can be published in their category straight away; anything doubtful is held privately and is not visible on the website.
  3. Our team checks held submissions, and reviews published groups, looking at the link, name, picture, description and topic.
  4. Groups that meet the guidelines stay listed. Groups that do not are rejected or removed.
  5. Published groups can be re-checked at any time, especially after visitor reports, and removed if they no longer meet the guidelines or if the link stops working.

Approval is at our discretion. We may decline groups that technically meet the rules but do not offer enough value to visitors, or that duplicate many existing listings.

6. Reporting a group

If you see a group that breaks these guidelines, has a broken link or has changed its topic, please press the Report link button on that group's page. Reports are confidential and every report is reviewed. For urgent concerns, you can also contact us at abstudio678@gmail.com.

7. Comments

Comments on JoinActiveGroup follow similar rules: be respectful, stay on topic, and do not post links, phone numbers, advertising, personal attacks or any content listed in section 2. Comments pass the same automatic filter, and doubtful comments wait for review before they are published.

8. Changes to these guidelines

We may update these guidelines to keep JoinActiveGroup safe and useful. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the current version.
